Your naval career will stand you in very good stead for civil employment. The industry recognises the high level of training, technical exposure, responsibility, reliability and management skills of service personnel. The leadership skills that you acquire will give you a distinct advantage over others in the civil world.

Agniveers. After completion of four years period of enrolment, Agniveers will be offered an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the Indian Navy as Sailors (Regular Cadre). Based on organisational requirements and policies promulgated by the Indian Navy, not more than 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be re-enrolled as Sailors (regular cadre).

On completion of the four-year period of engagement, Agniveers who are not re-enrolled, will go back to the society as disciplined, dynamic, motivated and skilled work force for employment in public as well as private sectors, thereby contributing further in Nation building.

Officers & Sailors (Regular Cadre). Permanent commissioned officers and sailors (regular cadre) shall be eligible for pensionary benefits post completion of specific period of service, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
